Delta Psi General Meeting Minutes

November 3rd, 2009

Nicole called the meeting to order at 4:16pm

Board Members Present:  Mark Smith, Nicole Paiste, Osman Aslam, Samantha Sprague, Maryann Sandoval, Alyssa Miller, Dr. Maloney, Alma Masic.

Board Member Absent: Elizabeth Godoy and Jorge Montanez (Board Fundraiser.)

Brian moved and Julius seconded to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

Brian moved and Jessica seconded to approve the minutes. Motion carried.

Comment from the Public –Nicole explained to the public that a written and verbal will be brought to Elizabeth’s Godoy attention about the absences.

Old Business

Care packages for Veterans - Alyssa reports we still need items taking donations by Friday the 6th. Thank You. We have 244 toothbrushes for the packets. Also strongly asked for cell phone donations.

Club’s Nigh recap –The event was great. Samantha won first place most disgusting and Amanda Knox won 1st in Delta Has Talent..

Oct 29th Psycho Theatre recap – we made $78, give 3 prizes for the best customs and 4 pumpkins in a raffle. The board  thanked Brian and his father for the pumpkin donations. 

Tweak Nov 5th –If movie is not received by the 4th it will be postponed until a later date.

November 12th - Psycho Theatre-G.I. Joe – Maryann BL – Amanda and Brian will be taking sign ups for people to work.

November 19th Family Night BL Alma – Please bring all the games you can, sign up to help with the game night, set up, clean up. Games suggested were Red light Green light, Red rover, Simon Says and board games. Co-chairs are Jessica P. and Teresa N.

CSU Monterey Bay 11/20- last day to turn in permission slips is 11/03.

Kinder’s Fundraiser Nov 17thMark – tickets are $15 and funds are due 11/12.

Chucks Fundraiser Nov 21 Nicole reports it’s canceled But Chucks will be donating gift certificates to the club.

 

New Business

 

Fall Banquet – Nicole is taking suggestions (Ciao Bella, Mimi’s, Dave & Silvia’s, Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill)

Canned food drive- Samantha it will go to a family on Delta College campus, also taking donations and certificates.

 

Information Items/Updates:

Amanda and Mark: Asked for toy donations for their churches.

Future Agenda Items: News letter, Jorge said Trivia is posted.

Raffle Winners: Kristina, Pete, Amanda, Jessica.

Brian moved and Amanda seconded for the Adjournment. Motion carried.
