| HUM 3 AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF CIVILIZATION |

This course is a survey of the artistic
traditions of our western cultural heritage. The arts including painting,
sculpture, architecture, music, dance, drama, and literature are studied as vehicles
in the search for meaning and value from the ancient world to modern times.

the study of language in theory and practice. Students explore what is
known about human language including its uniqueness, its structure, its use,
its diversity, and its universality. An effort is made to analyze the

Eastern world. Primary emphasis is on the major phases of development and
comparative insights among the great religions of the world. Course work

The student experiences total immersion in the culture through travel and the experience living with a Mexican family. This course is designed to enable the student to combine travel with study.
