Delta Artsfest 2009

This festival will feature both a talent competition judged by guest artists and a series of workshops and master classes geared to expose students to successful artists from many different professions. Students will meet directors, photographers, casting agents, artists, and theatre designers who will discuss the specifics of working in their chosen field. Delta Artsfest is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their artistic talents, interact with professional artists, ask questions, and request feedback about their performance/artwork. A new edition to Artsfest this year, the InterClub Council will be providing food (for a small fee), games, entertainment and information about their clubs throughout the day. Join us May 16, 2009 from 8am-5pm for a true celebration of all things artistic!

Admission to this event is $10 for audience members.

Competition Categories:

Media Arts:

Film/Video: Create a short film with a length of 3 minutes or less

Performing Arts:

Acting: Monologues (2 minute max.)/Scenes (3 minute max.)
Costume Design: rendering/drawing or constructed (open or recycled)
Dance: Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Hip-hop (3 minute max.)
Scenic Design: 3D ¼” scale model or rendering/drawing
Voice: (3 minute max.)

Visual Arts:

Ceramics/Sculpture (3D), Drawing/Painting (2D), Graphic Design, Photography
