Articulation is: college credit for high school classes
The main purpose of articulation is no student should be required to repeat the same course in college for which credit was previously received in high school. Articulation is a formal agreement between two or more educational systems to help students make a smooth transition from the high school level to the college level without experiencing delay or duplication of learning. The idea is for students to move from one course, program, or educational level to the next without loss of time or resources.
