The Ornamental Horticulture Nursery curriculum provides training for employment in nurseries and greenhouses. Many students choose to continue their education at the four year college level and then enter such fields as teaching, research, landscape architecture and related fields. Laboratory experience is an integral part of this program.

The Nursery Technician program is designed to prepare students for employment in wholesale and retail nurseries and garden centers. Positions are found in nursery sales and service, plant propagation, potted plant production, floral shops, cut flower production and related areas. Included in the instruction is information required for passing the California Certified Nursery examination.
