Seeing a Counselor

We have a staff of dedicated and professional counselors. They are here to assist you with a variety of services. These services include: Academic Counseling, Career Counseling, Personal Counseling, Academic Advisement, Academic Rehabilitation, Counseling for Student Athletes, Special Programs, Orientation Programs, Career Development/Transfer Center Services, Job Placement Services, Reentry Services, Transfer Services and much more.

The Guidance and Counseling Office is located in Danner 205. The office is open Tue and Wed from 8:00 am-7 pm, and on Mon, Thur, and Friday from 8:00 am-5 pm.*

*Note: Students are seen in order of their arrival for drop-in counseling services.  Please sign in no later than one hour before listed closing time.

Scheduling an Appointment:
Appointments can be scheduled by calling the Guidance and Counseling Office at (209) 954-5650 or by scheduling an appointment in person at Danner 205. Delta does not assign counselors to specific groups of students. When you schedule an appointment you are able to choose from a variety of counselors. Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment please call us as soon as possible. Please be advised that during certain times of the year we are on a drop-in basis only and scheduled appointments will not be available.
Drop-In:

We realize that sometimes you may need to drop-in as your schedule permits. We do our best to try to accomodate drop-in students. You will need to sign up at Danner 205 for a drop-in. The sign up list is on a first come, first serve basis. Drop-in times vary depending on counselor availability. There is no guarantee that you will be seen. Drop-in times are not available for one-hour appointments (Academic Probation 2nd Semester Appointment, Financial Aid Appeals, Transfer Agreements, Veteran's). If you need to make a one-hour appointment please call (209) 954-5650.*

Phone Calls:
You may call the Guidance and Counseling Office at (209) 954-5650. Counselors prefer to see students in person. We will do our best to answer simple questions or direct your call to the appropriate office. If your question requires more than a simple answer, we will refer you to an appointment with a counselor.
