Foster and Kinship Care Education

FKCE Classes - Fall 2009

FYI—Effective immediately, foster parents will receive licensing credit for attending YESS classes (formerly ILP)— 2 hours credit for each class attended. Attending four classes—8 hours total—fulfills your annual licensing requirement. Classes will be offered on most Thursday nights from 6:30-8:30. Foster youth must be registered with the YESS Program, but no pre-registration is required for foster parents—just be sure to sign in on the foster parent roll each week. Come with your foster youth to support their success, or come on your own. See you in class!

In order to fulfill foster home licensing requirements for the classes listed below, please be aware that you need to do the following: be enrolled as a Delta College student, register for your selected class on-line, come to all sessions (3 or 5) in the class series; be on time & stay through the end of each session; and sign in on the roll each week.

The following classes are offered for San Joaquin Delta College credit (FCS 99) or foster parent licensing credit only (FCS 199). You need to enroll as a Delta College student and register on-line through the Delta College website www.deltacollege.edu. If you have any questions please call 954-5528.
