Kids College has partnered with Education To Go® to provide online courses on a wide range of topics. Teens (those with at least an 8th grade reading level) can take not-for-credit online courses at a time that fits best with their busy schedules. These online learning courses are opportunities for teens to improve academic skills, learn new computer skills, and develop skills for possible future employment or careers.
Online Courses: All courses run for six weeks with a two-week grace period at the end. Each course is composed of 12 lessons, representing 24 hours of instruction. You can ask questions and give or receive advice at any time during the course. A new section of each course starts monthly. These are not-for-credit classes, but upon successful completion, students will be able to download a certificate of completion from Ed2Go®.
Remaining 2010 Course Start Dates:
April 21, May 19, June 16, August 18, September 19, October 20, & November 10, 2010
Fee: Most six-week online courses are $89.
Basic Computer Requirements: Students must have an e-mail address and Internet access (Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer web browser).
Other Requirements: Students must have at least an 8th grade reading level.

Driver's Education Online Learning
Kids College, in association with Drivers Ed Online, is offering a California DMV-certified online driving education course that empowers teens and adults with the knowledge needed to stay safe behind the wheel under a wide range of driving situations. From registration to final certification, the course takes place entirely online, allowing students to work from home or from anywhere they choose. This 30 hour course provides a comprehensive and effective learning experience that is 100% safe, convenient and secure. With a focus on safe driving and accident prevention, the content is current and presented in innovative ways. Parent participation and interaction are encouraged in this course. (Note: A student can take the course at any age, but cannot apply for a DMV driving permit until age 15 1/2 and needs the certificate from the course to apply.)
