DSPS Mission Statement

  • DSPS empowers students with disabilities to achieve their goals and become contributing members of society by eliminating barriers.
  • DSPS facilitates services for students to become accountable, self-reliant, responsible, and capable.
  • DSPS staff exhibits:  commitment,  hard work, professionalism, empathy, respect, and collaboration.

Spring Recess DSPS Hours:  March 29 - April 2*

  • Monday, March 29:  Limited staffing, counselors are not available. 
  • Tuesday, March 30:  Limited staffing, counselors are not available. 
  • Wednesday, March 31:  Holiday/Campus and DSPS are closed.
  • Thursday, April 1:  Campus and DSPS are closed.  
  • Friday, April 2:  Holiday/Campus and DSPS are closed.

Summer 2010 semester begins June 7, 2010.

Due to full enrollment for Delta’s Spring Semester, students not already registered for the Spring term are encouraged to begin preparation for upcoming enrollment opportunities in Delta’s Summer and Fall semesters. Apply for Summer 2010 classes in March; for Fall 2010 classes in April.

The earlier DSPS is aware of the classes you are taking, the sooner we can plan for your authorized support services. If you are a student with documented disabilities and would like to schedule an appointment with a DSPS counselor, please call (209) 954-5151 ext 6272.

Our New Location

DSPS has moved to the DeRicco Student Services Building.  DSPS is now combined with other Student Services departments. This move will increase easy access to a wide range of support services. Visit us at DeRicco 234 (Second Floor)

Budget Reduction

Due to the California State budget crisis, DSPS programs across the state are facing decreases in funding. These cuts may negatively impact the level of services that we have been fortunate enough to provide in the past.

Everyone in DSPS understands how budget reductions may impact your academic progress, and we will continue to do everything in our power to support your educational success.
