Different Learning Styles

Understanding Learning Styles

Not everyone learns in the same way. Some people would prefere to visually read about about a concept; some people must hear the concept, others need to have the ideas demonstrated in some way that they feel that they have touched or taken the concepts apart before understanding. These different ways of learning are called Learning Style Theory.

In the Learning Disability Program, you will learn about the learning style that best matches the way that you learn best. Following are some of the things that you will explore in the Learning Disability Program.

There are three common learning styles listed below:

1. Visual learner

Visual learners need to see in order to work and learn.

2. Auditory learner

Auditory learners need to hear in order to work and learn well.

3. Kinesthetic learner

Kinesthetic learners need to learn by doing. They need movement.
