College Credit for High School CoursesStudents who have completed articulated courses in high school may receive college credit at San Joaquin Delta College. The College is committed to comprehensive articulation of instructional programs with both secondary and post secondary educational institutions, often referred to as 2+2+2 articulation. The 2+2 articulation links the high school or R.O.P. program with San Joaquin Delta College programs. These articulated programs lead to an Associate Degree or Certificate of Achievement. The 2+2+2 articulation adds a four-year college or university program that leads to a Baccalaureate Degree where appropriate. The articulation process is a system designed to help students advance from one course, program, or educational level to the next without unnecessary repetition of essentially similar courses for which credit has already been received. A listing of the currently articulated courses may be found on the Delta College web site at: http://www.deltacollege.edu/dept/articulation/Articulation_List_001.htm, or from the Delta College home page, www.deltacollege.edu. Select "Admissions and Records", "2+2 Articulation", "List of Articulated Courses." If you have taken any of the articulated courses, you may wish to obtain college credit by completing ALL of the following steps.
