General Information Certificate applications are submitted at the beginning of the term during which the student expects to complete the certificate requirements. The deadlines for each term are as follows:
The applications are available by clicking on the appropriate link below. The Certificate(s) CANNOT be posted to the student's record until after the end of the term during which it was earned. This usually occurs during the second or third week following the end of that term. It could take longer if the student took a class that ends beyond the end of the term, as all grades must be posted. It could also be delayed if the student has an "Incomplete" to clear or has submitted a grade change request. The certificates are made available approximately two months after the end of the term. The approximate availability dates are as follows:
Students will receive a courtesy call when their certificate(s) is ready to be picked-up. The certificates are made available in the Admissions and Records lobby in Holt 101. A picture ID is required. Certificates can be mailed IF the student provides the postage in US stamps. The current cost is eighty-three cents Students who have previously earned a degree or certificate can order a reprint of that document. There is $10.00 processing fee for each reprint request. ALL holds must be cleared before the reprint can be released. Reprints take up to three weeks and are mailed to the student. To order a reprint of a degree or certificate, please download the Reprint Request Form, complete, enclose payment, and return to:
The Board of Trustees, as authorized by the Board of Governors, California Community Colleges, will award one of the following two types of certificates to any student who completes successfully the following requirements. A. Certificate of Completion (less than 18 units)
B. Certificate of Achievement (18 units and over)
C. Evaluation of Certificate Completion
